Watch Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito Online on 13th of November

The "Mexican assassin" Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao has returned and now he will be clashing with the Tijuana Tornado, Antonio Margarito. The two will be fighting on November 13, 2010 at Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, USA where Pacquiao vs. Clottey was held. The organizers are predicting that they will lure more than 50,000 boxing enthusiasts to watch Pacquiao vs. Margarito.

Before this event to happen, fans are expecting for Pacquiao to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. but since the latter doesn't shows interest to fight, Bob Arum decided to move on to the most possible opponent and Margarito's name appears. At first, I personally don't like the idea since Margarito was known for cheating during his fight against Shane Mosley. However, later, I am convinced that Pacquiao vs. Margarito fight will be one of the best there is to watch out there. The reason, I saw the matches of Margarito prior to 'cheating' issues and seen how good the fighter there is.

Even Manny Pacquiao admitted that the match will be one of the hardest fight that he will undergo. This is the reason why he will use the same training regimen that he used during his preparation against the Puerto Rican boxer, Miguel Cotto.

Later, you can go back here to find more details on how to watch Pacquiao vs. Margarito online live via online video streaming or P2P video stream via SOPCAST.

Margarito Returns, Pacquiao vs. Mayweather Dead

After several weeks of buzzing around the net about the possibility of Pacquiao vs. Mayweather, it ended with a great disappointment for all boxing fans around the world as the fight will not happen this year. This is when Bob Arum decided to choose Antonio Margarito to fight with Manny Pacquiao on November 13, 2010 instead of the undefeated Manny Mayweather Jr. This is his response to Mayweather's inability to agree with the terms and conditions in fighting the pound for pound king.

The return of the mexicutioner Margarito is an evidence of the possibility that his license will be returned. If that happens the fight Pacquiao vs. Margarito will happen in Las Vegas Nevada. However, Arum already have a plan if in case he wasn't able to gain back his license to fight and that is one of their option is to hold the fight in Mexico.

Well, I love to see Pacquiao vs. Mayweather but this seems to be an impossible dream for everyone to imagine. As long as Mayweather is afraid to loose his fight against Pacquiao there will be no megafight between them. I don't know if Margarito can keep up with Pacquiao, well let see what happens with this fight.

To Mayweather, "BOOOH!!!!"

Watch Concepcion vs. Lopez Live Online on July 10

Another very interesting boxing event will be happening this Saturday on July 10, 2010 and the undefeated WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez (28-0, 25 KO’s) will be meeting the young Filipino challenger, Bernabe Concepcion (28-3-1, 15 KO’s) at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico to defend his currently featherweight title. This Lopez vs. Concepcion match is dubbed as "The Challenge" and will be airing on local television channels in the Philippines (and I think even in Puerto Rico) and can be watched live online.

It is Lopez is the predicted to be winner as he is considered to be moving and fighting much faster than the young challenger. However, it is still unknown as Concepcion might deliver a great upset to the Puerto Rican and make the first defeat for the fast and furious Juan Manuel Lopez.

Pacquiao vs. Mayweather on November 2010?!

Some speculations and buzz around the web today is spreading and saying that the highly anticipated super mega fight Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao vs. Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. will be scheduled to happen before the year  ends which is on November of this year. That's right they are talking about it already and since Manny Pacquiao recently won on a congressional race in the Philippines, the boxer turn politicians will take his time adapting to his new position in the government. Thus, delaying the possible match-up that we are expecting to happen.

On the other hand, Floyd Mayweather Jr. still hold on his condition to fight Manny and that is to conduct a rigid Olympics style drug test which is not willingly want to happen by Pacquiao.

Well its too far from and a lot of things might happen in the future. There's also possibility that Manny Pacquiao will be retiring soon in boxing but I hope he got a chance to fight first the undefeated and tactician Mayweather. I hope it will happen soon.

Pacquiao vs. Mayweather - The Question Continues

It is still a big question mark for every boxing fans in the world today if the future mega fight Pacquiao vs. Mayweather will be happening or not. Actually after the convincing victory of Floyd Mayweather Jr. against Shane Mosley last May 1 (watch highlights here), he said in an interview that he is willing to fight Pacquiao as long as the latter abide to the condition that he sets. He is referring to the strict Olympics style drug test which requires the Filipino champ for a random blood drug test before the fight where he strongly opposed.

Its because of this said condition that the previous negotiation between them failed and with Mayweather's consistent stand about this, the fight will surely just part of our dream and will never happen if he keeps on insisting this certain test.

Actually this test that he is asking from Pacquiao is not part of any rules or guidelines of the boxing commission that regulates the professional boxing fights. Pacquiao is clean as per according to the test that he undergone under the commission's rule and to request him to undergo to an unnecessary test before fighting him is just making Mayweather to look like he is afraid of the reigning pound for pound king.

What now after Shane Mosley? Who's the next victim for Mayweather? I can't think of anyone else just Manny Pacquiao!

Watch Mayweather vs Mosley Post Fight Conference

Here's Floyd Mayweather Jr. after his fight against Shane Mosley. Floyd Mayweather said he fought his heart out against Shane Mosley and used his ring smarts to come away with the dominant victory at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

video not available anymore

Well, I agree with Mayweather he's a smart fighter indeed! So smart that he don't want to fight Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao the reigning pound for pound king without the unnecessary Olympics style drug testing which is not really part of any guidelines or policies of the boxing commission that regulates different big fights today. I just don't understand why he keep on insinuating that Pacman is in to PED (performance enhancing drugs) but the guy is clean through out his career based on the standard test of the boxing commission. I just don't get it! Give us the fight Mayweather, fight Pacquiao your fans deserved this fight and this is the last match that I think that will surely prove your excellence in boxing.

Watch Mayweather vs. Mosley Fight Highlights

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is still the undisputed / undefeated fighter after winning against Shane Mosley in a 12 round unanimous decision.

The first two round's score were all for Mosley and he even almost make Mayweather to kneel but the tactical and speed advantage of Mayweather were all shown on the remaining of the rounds making him to dominate the fight.

Here are some of the highlights of the fight (I replace it with a non-Youtube video, I just can't find any video of the highlights on Youtube - they keep on removing it):

The question now is will Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight Manny Pacquiao for real without any silly unnecessary Olympics style drug testing? I guess if this is his stand then there will be no Mayweather vs. Pacquiao later. I guess Larry would agree with that. :(

You can watch the fight the replay now HERE.

Mayweather vs Mosley Tickets Too Expensive?

As the highly anticipated Mayweather vs Mosley fight is getting near, news around the web says that the tickets sales have been slow. This is because the tickets are said to be too high. According to DogHouseBoxing.com, the ticket cost is over priced at $1,250, $1,000, $600, $300 and $150. They were expecting that the fight will be blockbuster but the industry seems doesn't agree with this because of the mentioned reason.

However, there's a possibility that when the day before the fight comes, ticket cost will surely come lower than what the original price is.

Well, I just can't go to Las Vegas, Nevada to watch it live so this is the reason that I prepare the system to watch Mayweather vs Mosley live online through different portals that I usually use such as the SOPCast, Online Streaming hosting sites, and thru PLDT Watchpad. All of this sources and how to watch it, I will share the links during the fight so be back here at WatchBoxing.info to watch the fight.

Update: Mayweather vs Mosley Poll

The website of Golden Boy Promotions released an interesting update on the "Who R U Picking?" Mayweather vs Molsey poll. It shows a statistical information on who among the two boxers will win on the May 1 boxing event from the people of East and West coast to male and female data. On my previous post (A Lot of Fans Believe That Mayweather Will Win via Decision), I said that majority of those who participated on the poll choose Mayweather but I based it on HBO Boxing's poll.

The poll result provided by Golden Boy Promotions is quite different because it shows that Mosley got an even vote against Mayweather. This mean that many believe in the boxing skills and technique of Mosley and will definitely see a really great fight .

Here's the poll result from GoldenBoyPromotions.com:

Mayweather > East Coast: 59% = West Coast: 46%
Mosley > East Cost: 41% = West Coast: 54%

For the detailed result of the poll, you can proceed to GoldenBoyPromotions.com.

Now what do you think about this result of the Mayweather vs. Mosley poll? Will Mosley can really make Mayweather get the first lost of his life? Let us find out on May 1, 2010 at Las Vegas, Nevada.

Watch Mayweather vs Mosley live online at WatchBoxing.info on the said date at 9PM ET/6PM PT!

A Lot of Fans Believe That Mayweather Will Win via Decision

I checked on the poll run by HBO Boxing and see if what is the pulse of the boxing fans that waits for the upcoming Mayweather vs Mosley this coming May 1, Saturday evening. It seems that majority of the "Who R U Picking?" poll predict that Floyd Mayweather Jr. will win the fight via decision. 203 fans vote for this (as the time that this article was created) while Shane Mosley only got a 60 votes to win via decision.

However the poll shows that many believe that Shane Mosley can deliver a knock-out (KO) to Mayweather as 183 votes were cast from this option while Mayweather winning by KO only got 35 votes.

This only mean that a lot of them believe that Mosley from the two of them got the knock-out power while the fighting style of "hit and run" of Mayweather which a lot of boxing enthusiasts are already aware, might be the possible reason why audiences and fans vote him to win via decision and not by KO.

Let see if this majority prediction can be true. We will definitely watch Mayweather vs. Mosley live and see for ourselves what will happen with the "trash talks" of both fighters!

A lot of you might be wondering what is the difference of this Mayweather vs Mosley bout compared to other fights that undergone this year and the previous years. Mosley is Ready For "Touch and Move" Style of Mayweather

In an interview with FanHouse.com, Mosley said that he is ready for the fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Shane Mosley. He said "Floyd is the type of fighter who, if he doesn't feel comfortable or confident, he's not going to fight you. So I have to be ready for that type of mentality that he has of touching and moving, touching and moving. I have to make it difficult for him to just touch and move."

He also revealed in the interview that he will be focusing more on body shots then on other parts for the rest of the round. He also said that he will make Floyd Mayweather Jr. to retire after the May 1 fight in the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

If Mosley wins this match, we can expect for Pacquiao vs. Mosley match later but it seems that Pacquiao's camp already released its intent to fight Andre Berto. However, I believe that it will be more ideal for Pacquiao to fight the guy that will be the winner for Mayweather vs. Mosley bout.

Mayweather vs. Mosley: Last Fight for Floyd?

It seems that Mayweather vs. Mosley (scheduled on May 1, at the MGM Grand Las Vegas, Nevada) is the last fight for Floyd Mayweather Jr. Not because he will be retiring after this or planned to lose against Shane Mosley but because there's no other "big names" today that could make any huge fight against him.

Since Manny Pacquiao will surely not fight him because of his Olympic style drug testing where the Filipino boxers will surely not allowed just to satisfy him. Shane Mosley at the age of 38 will surely deliver a hell of a fight for Floyd and imagine this guys, it took for 14 years of his fighting career before he decided to fight Shane.

Now right after Mosley, just in case he wins which I think he will also said when asked, there's no name right now that I could think of that will make boxing enthusiast to watch him fight. Aside from that he is growing older and there's a possibility that he will be going slow.

I hope that Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. will happen. Golden Boy and Top Rank please work this out fans are asking for it!

Freddie Roach Picks Mayweather to Win than Mosley

The popular and the longest trainer of the pound for pound king Filipino boxer Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao - Freddie Roach, picks Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the upcoming Mayweather vs. Mosley fight in May 1, 2010. This is different to what Pacquiao preferred which he previously said in an interview where he chose Mosley to win the said boxing event.

"Shane’s my friend and I hope he wins but he has trouble with speed and movement and likes guys to come to him so it’s going to be difficult,” Roach said in an interview when asked what's his prediction of the showdown. He believe that Mayweather (40-0, with 25 KOs) will be still undefeated and will win via decision against his opponent.

Instead, the latter fight Joshua Clottey and Mayweather on the other hand was compelled to fight one of the strongest fighter that he have been docking for a long time now which is "Sugar" Shane Mosley. Pacquiao Thinks Mosley Can Win on Mayweather vs Mosley Fight

Who R U Picking? This is the marketing slogan of the upcoming Mayweather vs. Mosley fight this coming May 1, 2010. A lot of boxing fanatics already cast their votes and even the pound for pound king selected a fighter already that might win on this boxing event. Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao chose Mosley to win on this event based on his interview at Yahoo Philippines.

"I pick Mosley to win that fight because he can throw a lot of punches compared to Mayweather who's a very defensive boxer. Defense can't win fights, especially against a fighter like Mosley who relies on speed," said Pacquiao.

However, Esteban Garduno of BoxingNews24.com disagreed with him regarding his statement that "Defense can't win fight." and said that "Actually, defense wins fights all the time in boxing. Just mindlessly throwing punches doesn’t win fights." He also added that Pacquiao's performance on his previous fight against Joshua Clottey was "awful" and said that if it was Mayweather then Pacquiao might have picking up his teeth on the canvass and might be asking what has happened.

I am just thinking if that is the case that Mayweather can make that happen against Pacquiao then why does Floyd Mayweather Jr. keeps on docking Pacquiao by a foolish claim of cleaning the boxing world with unnecessary tests that is not part of any rules of boxing commission? Why just can't fight him without any conditions? He is a boxer not a member of the board of the boxing regulations.

Ah let just see if he can do it with Mosley. I hope Mosley will not be affected by any kind of "pressure" or "boxing politics" that will cause his "unnecessary defeat" against Floyd. I hope not!

Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Pacquiao is Amateur after "The Event"

I first read this statement of Floyd Mayweather Jr. from a local newspaper here in our place and since I'm busy this morning I wasn't able to read his full statement with regards to Manny Pacquiao's performance against Joshua Clottey on the March 13, "The Event" welterweight championship.

Luckily I found his full statement from the web and at least I (we) could react on this. Here's what Mayweather said

"Personally, I think Pacquiao got exposed in that fight for being one-dimensional. You can have all [the] offensive ability in the world but with no defense you're not going to last long against a good counter puncher such as myself. Look at the way Clottey was getting through, each time he threw something it landed. Then at the end Pacquiao's was all busted up, when’s the last time you’ve seen my face all messed up like that? That’s the difference between an amateur and a true pound for pound boxer."

"The attendance numbers ain't nothing compared to what I have drawn in the past or what I would have drawn if that was me in the ring that night, everybody knows that. Half those seats were empty in the back and people say Pacquiao is a draw? Let's not forget who generated 2.5 million PPV buys in one fight alone. The only reason why he’s popular is because he's an ethnic minority and from the Philippines so it's something special. If he was from Africa he would be just another boxer."

Personally, I agree that Pacman did exposed himself during the fight on Clottey but I believe that it is part of his strategy to lure out Clottey from his defensive shell. Boxing is not a beauty contest but a strategic action-packed sports that involves faces to be inline. I agree with Mayweather that his face is not messed up every time he fight (like Clottey) because he is a defensive fighter and loves to run around the ring with his pretty face. I believe that its not true that Pacquiao is one-dimensional, the Pacman can adjust to any situation given to him for different fighters.

Regarding the number of audiences to attract for the fight well I can't comment on that, I got no statistics about this but if you will asked me if I will watch Mayweather vs. Mosley, well, the answer is YES. Not because I am a fan of Mayweather but because I like to see Mayweather prove his point that he is really the true pound for pound king and at the same time, I like to see if he can loose to Mosley and what will be his reactions (what will be his pretty face) will look like after a defeat. A scene that I think a lot of boxing fanatics love to see.

Well if Mayweather will lost on Mayweather vs. Mosley on May 1 then there will be no hope for future Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight.

How about you? What's your reaction about the statement of Mayweather about Pacquiao?

Manny Pacquiao Dominates Joshua Clottey - Watch the Replay

The pound for pound king Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao successfully won against Joshua "the Grand Master" Clottey to defend his WBO Welterweight title in a very convincing unanimous decision. Right before the scorecard was released to be announced, people are expecting for Pacquiao to win since they've seen how the attacking mode of the champ overwhelm the great defense of the challenger.

Some says that it was boring because there's no KO delivered on this fight, however it shows how really skillful and discipline the champion is. I think Clottey also deserves respect on this bout as he proves that nobody can still make it to his defensive stance. However, he said in this match that out of his previous loses, this is the only fight that he admitted that he really lost on the match.

Now the Pacquiao vs. Clottey replay is now up, thanks to those people who share this fight and been part of the this tremendous boxing history.

For some countries, a survey will shown and it requires you to fill it up. Its free and it will take a couple of your minutes. Official weigh-in came yesterday and Manny Pacquiao is much lighter compared to Joshua Clottey having a 145lbs compared to Clottey with exactly at the welterweight limit of 147 lbs. Both fighters are excited and having fun during the weigh-in but it seems that Clottey didn't bring his supporters. Manny on the other hand got a roaring audiences and almost threw his shoes to his fans because of excitement.

Based on what I have seen, I think the Pacquiao vs. Clottey will result in a win but not that as easy as other expect. I think Clottey can go the distance and finish the 12 round. If he still the Clottey that got a hard core shell defense that we know.

Good luck to you guys and have fun watching this fight!

There are some buzz that the of the said fight might face off against the March 13, Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey winner.

Here's the live feed from UStream.tV

Why Pacquiao vs. Clottey is an Interesting Fight?

A lot of buzz happened when Top Rank Promotions announced about the upcoming fight involving the underrated but skilled fighter Joshua Clottey. Some boxing analysts (as they claim), said that Clottey will be a sacrificial lamb for Manny's political career. It will be a waste of time for the "king" of the ring to fight somebody who have lost to someone he had beaten last year (I'm talking about Cotto that beats Clottey on their previous fight). They keep on saying the fight is not that interesting to watch. But why they have sold over 35 thousands tickets (as far I have known today, maybe its more than that) to watch Pacquiao vs. Clottey in Cowboys Stadium? Why a lot of fans still wants to see the said first ever welterweight defense of the champ?

Here are some of the reasons why I think it is very interesting and based on what I have read on the world wide web:
  • Joshua Clottey is a dangerous fighter. He got 3 losts but doesn't convince the boxing audiences that he was really beaten. All fights that he losts of underscore. He got a long, heavy jab and he uses it relentlessly as he presses forward behind a solid defense (source: http://www.ringsidereport.com/?p=1458).
  • Audiences want to see if Manny Pacquiao can deliver the first knock-out for Clottey. Never on Joshua's career that he has beaten kissing the canvass sleeping.
  • Clottey is really a strong fighter and even when he was injured during his fight with Margarito still he wasn't KOed but prove to all the audiences that he is worth to challenge any welterweight fighters and that includes the Pacman.
Now what do you think? Do you find this March 13 "The Event" interesting or not? Leave your opinions below.

Yuri Foreman vs. Miguel Cotto on June 5

Here's one great news in the boxing world. The undefeated junior middleweight fighter, Yuri Foreman will be facing the former two time welterweight champion Miguel Cotto at the Yankee Stadium in June 5. That's right, the Puerto Rican challenges Yuri for his crown and steps up the ladder of the pound for pound fights to reach the junior middleweight. Its amazing that Cotto will still fight despite his defeat on his two previous fights, from Antonio Margarito and Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. I thought he will be retiring after he was KOed on the 12th round on his November fight against Pacquiao. But I was wrong! This amazing fighter, will be standing high and will challenge one of the most dangerous and skilled fighter of the junior middleweight division, Yuri Foreman.

Here's the source of the news where I found the details about the said fight:
Soon-to-be rabbi Yuri Foreman will defend his WBA junior middleweight (154 pounds) title against Puerto Rican former two-time welterweight (147 pounds) and one-time junior welterweight (140 pounds) champion Miguel Cotto, at Yankee Stadium on June 5, even as a bar mitzvah party takes place at the same venue -- all for the first time in the history of the stadium.

According to a source with knowledge of the event, the Yankees will soon release a statement confirming that they have reached an agreement, along with fight promoter Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank Promotions, to satisfy the family holding the bar mitzvah celebration while also having the venue's first professional boxing match.

Foreman (far right) and Cotto (near left) are pictured (above) with former world champion Felix Trinidad (middle).

According to the Associated Press, the bar mitzvah is for Scott Ballan, the son of the Jon Ballan, lead bond lawyer for the financing of Yankee Stadium.

Ballan will be "bar-mitvahed" earlier in the day, and, in accordance with their agreement with the Yankees, the guests -- approximately 150 of them -- will spend the night of June 5 celebrating the boy at the stadium and watching Foreman-Cotto.

The family was using the two of the lounges in the Yankees Stadium to celebrate the bar mitzvah. The family will be allowed to use the lounges, and also, be furnished with approximately 150 tickets to the fight.

Arum told FanHouse earlier this week that he was "optimistic something can be worked out, perhaps by giving the families holding the bar mitzvah credentials for the fight."

Foreman (28-0, eight KOs) is the first Israeli to win a professional boxing title, a feat he accomplished with November's 12-round unanimous decision over Puerto Rico's Daniel Santos.

Foreman, who is studying to be a rabbi, could not be reached on Friday. But Foreman told FanHouse on Tuesday that he would love nothing more than to establish his own celebrity and following at Yankees Stadium, and that it would be extra special if the audience was a largely Jewish one.

"I would thank God for that opportunity. That would be very exciting and I would be very appreciative. When was the last fight at Yankee Stadium? That would be historical for me," said Foreman, a 29-year-old Brooklyn resident.

"That's an amazing irony, but it's still surreal until something like that get's done. But anything that you want, you can definitely pray for it. You can pray for the well-being of the fighters, for something that you believe in. And for all of the things that have happened," said Foreman.

"You can pray for guidance, for the opportunity, etc., etc.," said Foreman. "I think that no matter what happens, from the perspective of the Israeli people, seeing their countryman fight in defense of his title would be very, very good in a sport like boxing. That would open the eyes of everyone."

Arum told FanHouse earlier this week that the family had asked to use the stadium's monitors for photos and a filmography of Ballan, and that he was "optimistic" that a deal could be worked out between the fighters and the Yankees Stadium officials.

Arum promoted the last boxing match at the old Yankees Stadium in 1976, when Muhammad Ali earned a 15-round decision over Ken Norton against the backdrop of a police strike.

Cotto (34-2, 27 knockouts) has built a following at Madison Square Garden, where the fight was to be held on June 12 -- the eve of the annual Puerto Rican Day parade in New York City -- if something couldn't be worked out with Yankees' Stadium for June 5.

Cotto is 6-0, with three KOs at Madison Square Garden, including wins over Shane Mosley, Zab Judah, Joshua Clottey and Paulie Malignaggi.

Donaire vs. Darchinyan Possibility After Latin Fury 13

After successfully defending his current boxing title on the recently concluded Pinoy Power 3 (watch Pinoy Power 3 / Latin Fury 13 replay here), Nonito Donaire Jr. wants to fight again Vic Darchinyan and eying the WBA and World Boxing Council (WBC) unified super flyweight belts of the Armenian boxer. "That’s what I came for and hopefully I'll get that fight. I'm here, I'm a fighter but I gotta listen to my guys" said Donaire in an interview.

If you can remember, back in 2007, he steals the title of Darchinyan by defeating him in a very highly talked knocked out where he won the Armenian’s International Boxing Federation (IBF) flyweight title. If you want to watch the said fight, you can go HERE.

Well, let see if Donaire vs. Darchinyan will happen later near in the future. If this happens, we will surely see another action-packed exchange of punches. Vic will surely accept this challenge so that he could take his revenge and redeem himself from the 2007 defeat.

Manny Pacquiao Defends Welterweight Title Versus Joshua Clottey

The reason why Mayweather vs. Mosley happens because of the unavoidable change in the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao plans. This is also the reason why Manny Pacquiao will be fighting and depending his welterweight title against Ghanna's pride Joshua Clottey on March 13, 2010 at the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas Texas. The fight was arranged by the Top Rank Promotions with Bob Arum. Currently both camps are practicing and preparing for the said fight which is dubbed as Pacquiao vs. Clottey "The Event."

We can expect that there will be a HBO 24/7 as the HBO PPV (pay-per-view) agreed to cover the said match and its been the tradition of this popular network to promote boxing events like this by the award winning documentary series.

Potential undercard matches for the said event will be Antonio Margarito vs. Carlson Jones, a welterweight match between Alfonso Gomez (21-4-2, 10 KOs) and Jose Luis Castillo (60-9-1, 52 KOs) and possible showcase of the junior featherweight prospect Roberto Marroquin (11-0, 8 KOs).

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Shane Mosley Finalized to Happen on May 1

Finally, after a long wait, the fight between "Sugar" Shane Mosley and Floyd Mayweather Jr. will happen this coming May 1 at the Las Vegas after both parties agreed to sign the contracts. Mayweather just signed it this Wednesday (Feb. 3) to complete the fight arrangements while Mosley signed it last Friday (Jan. 29).

In an interview with ESPN, Floyd Mayweather Jr. said that Mosley is a great fighter and he deserves to be his opponent. He said, "This one is definitely for the fans as I wasn't going to waste anyone's time with a meaningless tune-up bout and asked to fight Shane immediately. I have said ever since I came back to the sport that I only wanted to fight the best. I think Shane is one of the best, but come May 1, he still won't be great enough to beat me."

Mosley seems really eager to beat the him and excited that this match happens. If you can remember, his previous fight that supposed to happened this January 30 was postponed due to his opponent, Andre Berto, canceling it because of the Haiti incident.

Now, almost everybody in the boxing industry is thinking that the Mayweather vs. Mosley fight is much interesting compared to the upcoming fight of Pacquiao against Clottey on March 13. What do you think about this, can the match pull off a very interesting number of audiences?

Mosley vs Mayweather Possible!

I was just asking a day ago about will be the possible opponent for Mayweather and recently, I have read from a news that the Mayweather vs Mosley fight deal is almost done. They verbally agreed and what only lacking is the black and white of the agreement.

Here's the news that I've read:
According to Maxboxing.com a verbal agreement has been reached between Floyd Mayweather Jr and Shane Mosley to face each other in May and an official announcement could be made as early as Friday.

Mayweather Jr was scheduled to face Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas on March 13 to decide the pound for pound No.1 but the fight was scrapped when the two camps could not agree on how to conduct pre fight drug testing.

Mayweather Jr wanted Pacquiao to agree to random Olympic style drug testing which is not a requirement of the Nevada State Athletic commission, who oversee sporting events where the fight was to be held.

According to Maxboxing's Gabriel Montoya Mayweather has no such problem with such testing. Speaking with Mosley via his website chat this past weekend, Montoya asked Mosley if he would submit to random blood tests to make a fight with Mayweather or any fighter.

"Of course I would submit to random blood testing anytime," replied Mosley. "But right now, I’m not worried about Mayweather or Pacquiao. I’m focused on [Andre] Berto."

Earlier this week, Andre Berto, a Haitian-American welterweight title holder, pulled out of his January 30 showdown with Mosley following earthquake tragedy in his homeland. Source: SecondsOut.com

Who Will Be Mayweather's Next Opponent?

After the unavoidable failure of negotiation of the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight, both camps moved on and look for their next opponent. Manny Pacquiao is now scheduled to figh Clottey on March 13 on what they've tagged as the "Pacquiao vs Clottey: The Event Match" at the Cowboys Stadium in Texas. Now, Mayweather also announced that he will be fighting someone also on the same schedule at the MGM. Analysts and boxing fanatics said that this might be a way for Mayweather to check if who among them are the most money maker and popular boxer.

However, as of this moment of writing, he still can't find anyone yet to be his opponent. They are considering Paulie Malignaggi who just won against Diaz on their last fight. Matthew Hatton's name also come to be features on some newspapers. However, no confirmation is not yet announced on his side.

If you will be asked guys, who do you think is worthy opponent for Mayweather? Hmmm... I still go for Pacquiao, maybe not this year but in the near future. What can you say?

Where to Watch Berto vs. Mosley Online for Free?

One of the qualified boxer who can catch up with power and speed with Mayweather and Pacquiao but wasn't able given a chance is Shane Mosley. Because, he can't fight the said two fighters, he had left no choice but to challenge the quick and still undefeated Andre Berto on the ring for a WBA-WBC unification match this year which is scheduled for 12 round welterweight bout at the Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas January 30, 2010. This Mosley vs. Berto fight will be quite interesting as you can see two agressive and knock out artists will be playing and honestly I am expecting a knock out in the end of the fight.

Now, if you want to watch the fight online live or replay. You can try to visit the MMA Pound for Pound portal that I made specifically for different mixed martial arts fight like those of UFC and different boxing events.

Well, the question right now is will they allow either  Berto or Mosley to fight against Mayweather or Pacquiao later after the winner of the fight was determined if in case Pacquiao vs. Mayweather can't be materialized? Well, let just wait until the final ring bell when that time comes.
