Why Pacquiao vs. Clottey is an Interesting Fight?

A lot of buzz happened when Top Rank Promotions announced about the upcoming fight involving the underrated but skilled fighter Joshua Clottey. Some boxing analysts (as they claim), said that Clottey will be a sacrificial lamb for Manny's political career. It will be a waste of time for the "king" of the ring to fight somebody who have lost to someone he had beaten last year (I'm talking about Cotto that beats Clottey on their previous fight). They keep on saying the fight is not that interesting to watch. But why they have sold over 35 thousands tickets (as far I have known today, maybe its more than that) to watch Pacquiao vs. Clottey in Cowboys Stadium? Why a lot of fans still wants to see the said first ever welterweight defense of the champ?

Here are some of the reasons why I think it is very interesting and based on what I have read on the world wide web:
  • Joshua Clottey is a dangerous fighter. He got 3 losts but doesn't convince the boxing audiences that he was really beaten. All fights that he losts of underscore. He got a long, heavy jab and he uses it relentlessly as he presses forward behind a solid defense (source: http://www.ringsidereport.com/?p=1458).
  • Audiences want to see if Manny Pacquiao can deliver the first knock-out for Clottey. Never on Joshua's career that he has beaten kissing the canvass sleeping.
  • Clottey is really a strong fighter and even when he was injured during his fight with Margarito still he wasn't KOed but prove to all the audiences that he is worth to challenge any welterweight fighters and that includes the Pacman.
Now what do you think? Do you find this March 13 "The Event" interesting or not? Leave your opinions below.
