Mayweather vs Marquez 24/7 This Saturday

The Emmy Award winning reality series of HBO will start its series of shows this coming Saturday, Aug. 29 featuring the upcoming fight of Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Juan Marquez. It will be a documentary of the two fighters prior to the much anticipated much in Las Vegas. Actually, HBO already released a trailer of the said 24/7 series. Here is the said 24/7 trailer:



By the way, this series is the count down of the fight and its several 4 weeks more to wait and the ring will be filled with punches (and hope not so much running).

Judges and Referee Named for Mayweather vs. Marquez

Now, the September 19 fight of Mayweather and Marquez has assigned the officials that will serve as the judges and referees for the upcoming fight. The veteran referee Tony Weeks has been assigned to be the third man in charge while judges Burt Clements (Nevada), Dave Moretti (Nevada) and William Lerch (Illinois) will be officiating the 12-round welterweight bout.

These Mayweather vs. Marquez will be aired on HBO PPV (pay per view) 9 p.m. ET and the tickets cost are priced at $1,000, $750, $600, $300 and $150.

The documentary series HBO 24/7 of the fight Mayweather vs. Marquez: Number One/Numero, will premiere this coming August 29, 2009. Usually this will be a two part special containing the hardship, the training and the drama of the boxing event. My Mayweather vs. Marquez Fight Prediction

Well, the upcoming Number One/Numero Uno match of Mayweather and Marquez on September made some little buzz and some reactions from different boxing enthusiasts all over the world. They even compared the match to the upcoming fight of Pacquiao against Cotto. However, this Golden Boy Promotions event will make its own history and here's what I think about the said fight.

I think if Juan Marquez can not knocked out Mayweather, he will definitely lose on the running boxer in points. So if still got the same power and determination like the time that he fights Pacman, he got a big chance. Mayweather will have a definite hard time to TKO his opponent but he can definitely win by points. What do you think? Who will win and how?

Mayweather, Marquez vow a "tactical fight"

"Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez said they just took the postponement of their July 18 fight in stride.

The "Numero Uno/Number One" clash has been rescheduled to September 19 after Mayweather suffered a rib injury while training.

In their media conference call, Mayweather said the postponement was actually a "good thing."

"When I was training a little while back I was pushing myself to the limit," Mayweather said in a report by FightHype.com.“When it happened, I tried to work through it. I was sparring for a while, but then it happened again."

"I said ‘You know what, I can’t try to be a superhero. I’ve got to take time off and let it heal.’ I’d never tell exactly what happened. I just had a rib injury," added Mayweather.

Marquez, meantime, commented "I was peaceful. I knew that it was just a misstep. I was ready but I remained calm."

The Mexican champ acknowledged that injuries are someetimes inevitable in any sport, especially boxing.

“Whatever happens I know this sport, you know that injuries are a big part of any sport. I just had to stay calm and now I’m getting ready again,” the Mexican said.

Both fighters are looking forward to their much-awaited mega fight that will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“I’m anticipating getting back in the ring. It’s making me work so hard. I’m waking up at 4 in the morning,” noted Mayweather, who came out of retirement in May.

For Marquez, facing Mayweather can be his toughest fight to date.

“I believe this is the hardest fight of my life. I have to box intelligently,” remarked Marquez.

Marquez also had nothing but praises for the former pound-for-pound king. “I’m getting ready for the best Mayweather ever… I’m thinking of beating the best fighter in the world.”

On the Twitter account of Floyd "Money" Mayweather, Jr., a new message was twitted by the undisputed champ from US for Juan Manuel Marquez. The twit states:

Marquez says hes goin after my ribs but theres no weakness in MONEY MAY. Only ribs he'll b diggin n2 will b at Outback after I take him down

Now, what will be Marquez's response to this. Will look for Marquez's Twitter account and let see how he talk backs to this. There's no evidence that he is a twitter follower of the "Money" :) 

Mayweather - Marquez vs Pacquiao - Cotto Match

It seems that the buzz about the upcoming Pacquiao vs. Cotto covered the Mayweather vs. Marquez fight on September. Despite the noise and buzzing of the upcoming match of "Dinamita" Marquez and "Money" Mayweather, the fans are more likely more interested about the mentioned upcoming November match. Well, it seems that they still lack the "people power lurer."
